FILM COURSE
FOR TEENS (12+)
THE PROCESS
Each good movie has a good story. Everyone has a story to share and we will try to discover what is this special story YOU are the right person to tell. We will work on the production process and all the important aspects and stages of filmmaking to have a clear and complete picture of "how the stuff gets done". You will also learn about such crucial parts of filmmaking as cinematography, lighting, editing, acting.
WHAT IS THE COURSE ABOUT?
Film can be many things — from ideological propaganda to entertainment and commercial tool. But first of all it is a form of art, sparkling and reflecting human feelings and emotions. The course is about the art of filmmaking, feelings transforming into an image. We will talk about an image as a language tool and will work on it together. We’ll rediscover the meanings of created images (still and moving) and create new ones together.

THE RESULT
In this course theory is strongly linked to practice. You will work on practical filmmaking projects — followed by screening, feedback and discussion. By the end of the course you’ll have several pieces shot — from a music video to a short film. The main goal is to bring you closer to understanding your own unique sense of beauty and providing you with tools to express it.
FOR WHOM IS THE COURSE?
This course was developed for 12−16 years old teenagers who believe that film is more than entertainment. Who is willing to get introduced to the language of film, become part of a film crew and shoot a story worth being told. This course will be interesting for both people who have already tried themselves as filmmakers and those who have no experience in it yet.
