THIS CHALLENGE WILL HELP YOU TO FIND THEMES FOR YOUR ILLUSTRATION — EVEN WHEN IT SEEMS LIKE YOU LOST THE INSPIRATION :(
We know how hard it can be to come up with an idea of what to draw and, particularly, how difficult it is to draw regularly. But anybody can get involved in art and illustration if they try doing it on a daily basis for at least TWO weeks!

IT IS INTENDED FOR ANYBODY WHO’S WILLING TO PARTICIPATE AND WANTS TO DRAW!
It doesn’t matter whether you are a practicing illustrator or you’ve just recently started drawing, whether you’re going to make it your profession or not, this challenge is a good fit for anyone who feels like picking up a pencil and trying.

Each day you receive a new task in the course’s chat (also, video comments will be posted to a group featuring a curator during the day and in the evening).
✨ The group will receive comments on the same day in the group chat if the work is delivered by 6 pm (CEST), and it’s the next day if the work is delivered after 6 pm.
On the last day, we are doing a review of all the works, getting personal advice and growth recommendations, and summarising the results.

HOW IS IT GOING TO BE?
SOFIA
Curator
Sofia is an illlustrator and comic artist with an experience of teaching. She has experience of creating books, comics, and illustrations for different companies and publishing houses. Since 2014, she has been drawing every day for creative project on the Internet 'One Day One Sketch' (over 30k followers, more than 3800 drawings).
She is holding two MA degrees: in Graphic Design, and in Visual Communicaton Design from Aalto University of Arts, Design and Architecture, Finland, she also spent one semester as an exchange student at Rhode Island School of Design. She carries out courses on illustration, workshops on comics and design, does talks on art history. Her teaching philosophy is about importance of each student’s personality, joy of creative discovery and everyday engagement. Here you can see Sofia’s works.

PROGRAME
1 week
The first week is not about perfection but about pushing your boundaries, exploring new ideas, and having fun with your drawings. Enjoy the process and feel free to share your artwork with the community for feedback and support!

2 week
The second week is gonna challenge you! Step out of your comfort zone and experiment with different drawing mediums and techniques. A book cover, a collage, a crossover, or any other techniques that you’ve been wanting to explore.

The tasks will be diverse, gradually getting more and more difficult, but do not be afraid, each of you will be able to succeed with the help of our curator and will find something useful for yourself! Each task will be accompanied with a small explanation of how it could be useful.
If a certain task might be more interesting to achieve using specific supplies, there will be additional hints. Although, most tasks can be solved with supplies of your choice.
Each day you will be getting a number of references to go with the task (with their authorship indicated, clearly). It is for inspiration and enhancing your visual experience.
