BRUSSELS COMICS ART CAMP
6-12 of December
WHAT IS THIS COURSE ABOUT?
What’s so special about comics? How do they differ from other types of art? How do panels and bubbles work in a comics? How can you travel through time with the help of comics? What are the areas of comics application and how can you use comics in you art practice? We will get acquainted with the Language and philosophy of comics and find out how different stories can be told with the help of sequential art, as well as try to create different comics ourselves and get to know this secret world from the inside.

This course aims to develop a professional community, which will create a visually and content-wise rich project at the end and develop an awareness of both theory and practice of comics-making. Most of what students learn from this course is applicable to their future professional careers.
FOR WHOM IS THE COURSE?
The course is designed for English-speakers who have experience in drawing and want to improve their skills in comics. Being a student of art, design, illustration course of any institute is not necessary for the course, but it would be very helpfull if you had already tried to draw comics yourself even if it wasn’t that successful yet (we'll do everything together to change it). To know more about our camps — check the report and reviews from our last trip!
