One amazing week in Brussels!

With a group of wonderful people from Portugal, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, and Australia, we spent time drawing, diving into comics history, building confidence in visual storytelling, and enjoying our time getting to know people from the local art industry.

That was an incredible experience that we’re definitely gonna repeat very soon!

Visiting The Belgian Comic Strip Center + time for completing the task (and a nice walk around the city)

A lot of knowledge related to documentation in comics, your day documented in comics.
Day 3
The focus of the day: comics as adaptation
Lecture: «Comics as adaptation»

Practice: choosing story to adapt

THE OUTCOME OF THE DAY
Understanding what is the difference between interesting and boring comics adaptation, a comic- adaptation you'll make yourself.
Day 4
The focus of the day:
guest day
Guest lecture, visit the artist studio, visiting Musée Hergé
THE OUTCOME OF THE DAY
A lot of emotions, a nice walk around the city + some new knowledge from the guest lecturer/artist.
Day 5
The focus of the day: final task
Lecture: «Abstract comics»

Practice: working on final task
